Dr. Rick Kapitan is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose advanced training and surgical depth set the standard for implant and maxillofacial care in Charlotte and beyond. He holds both a Doctorate in Surgery and a Master of Science degree, completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and anesthesia at The Ohio State University Medical Center, and earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery—one of the most specialized designations in the field.
Dr. Kapitan's clinical focus centers on complex dental implant surgery, full arch restoration, full mouth reconstruction, and jaw surgery, with a surgical range that allows him to take on cases most practices refer out entirely. As director of the Envision™ Implant Academy and a national clinical course instructor for Straumann and ZimVie, he is not only performing at the highest level of the specialty—he is actively shaping it.
